Private Mentorship in Piano Artistry
Concert Pianist
Study one-to-one with an artist of the world's great concert halls.
“If I can take your hearts on a ride, I am a happy artist.” Eduard Kunz — Interview, Scena9
The Artist
Eduard Kunz began at the piano at five and made his concerto debut at ten. Trained at the Gnessin School, the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Royal Northern College of Music — where he took the Gold Medal for performance — he has since appeared with more than seventy major orchestras and in recital at Wigmore Hall, the Louvre and the Concertgebouw.
Teaching is not a sideline but a vocation: as founder of the Kunz Piano Academy and a guest professor at conservatoires worldwide, he now offers a small number of students the kind of sustained, personal artistic apprenticeship on which great playing has always been built.
The Career
The Mentorship
Each year, a small number of dedicated students are accepted into an individual mentorship. This is not a weekly lesson in technique alone — it is an artistic apprenticeship, shaped around the student.
Tone, colour, phrasing and style — how a score becomes a living performance.
Discipline, resilience, focus and stage presence — the inner craft that sustains a life in music.
Repertoire, competitions, auditions and direction — guided by someone who has walked every step.
Joining
Send a short note about the pianist — age, level, repertoire and goals — using the form below.
Selected candidates are invited to play for Mr Kunz, in person or by video, and to talk about their ambitions.
Accepted students agree on an individual plan of lessons, repertoire and performance goals for the year.
